Swatches - Camo Quad Color Corrector by Coastal Scents

Color correctors are something I've come to rely on using when I'm going for that flawless look and even though I knew that most of the colors in this quad would probably not work for my skin tone I still grabbed it mainly because I wanted to try out the green to see how it does with redness.

Product Description: Our innovative Color Corrector Quad contains four creamy hues to conceal and correct any flaw. All four shades are stored in our travel friendly compact and can be easily applied with any concealer brush in your collection.

The mint green shade counteracts redness or pinkness caused from rosacea, blemishes, or capillaries around the nose and cheek areas.

The pale yellow shade is used to conceal black, blue, or purple imperfections such as bruises.

The lavender shade can be used to neutralize areas with excessive yellow pigmentation and corrects olive skin tones.

The sky blue shade counteracts orange tones typically caused from uneven or excessive tanning or self-tanning.

The mint green worked for the little bit of redness I was dealing with. It hid what needed to be hidden. As for the other colors I had no use for them I attempted to use the yellow knowing dark peaches and oranges work better for me and sure enough the yellow looked almost white under my eyes but I can see it working pretty well for lighter skin tones. All the colors are heavily pigmented which I think can be a good thing and a bad thing depending on what shade you are. Anyways for the $7 bucks it was worth the try and I know I'll be dipping into the green but once I'm out I wont be repurchasing the camo quad color corrector again.

My thoughts: I liked the concealer but didn't find use for all of the colors. Color B I use for under my eye and I do so with a gentle hand because the first time around I guess I put too much on and it looked cakey, so a little bit goes a long way with this concealer. Color C helped hide my blemishes which I also had to use with a light hand. I do have some acne scarring and for that alone the concealer did not do a good job concealing, I had to use skin corrector first. Color A and D I have no use for at all.

It says that the colors are easy to blend but I didn't find that to be true, I had a hard time blending it. I found the concealer to be really creamy and go on smooth when I used a lot of the product on my skin ( which didn't work for me like I said earlier since it looked all cakey ) but when I used it with a light hand it felt chalky.

I don't think I will use this for blemishes so Color C probably wont be used much either, but I can see myself using Color B for days I only need it for a couple of hours since I didn't find this to have much staying power for longer days. Follow my blog with Bloglovin
